First Week

We've had an awesome few days of school! We've done a lot of work and still have more to do.

We got to know each other with a few activities. We paired up and made a crossword puzzle using everyone's name. We also wrote our favorite things in a circle and then added our names to everyone else's circle if we liked the same thing. That helped us know who had the same likes and dislikes. We are also working on a Who Am I? project so you can guess our picture using 4 clues. Come to our Open House so you can see these projects!

We learned about Mr. Thomas's 5 important rules for the classroom. Quiz your student to see if they remember what they are. We also discussed CHAMPS, which is a way of letting us know how we can behave during different activities throughout the day. The letters in CHAMPS all stand for something. 

Today we started a pretest about place value to see what we know. Its a lot of work being in 4th grade!
